Preparations are already underway for the 2010 Latin-American Open Source Software Conference – Latinoware , which will take place between November 10 and 12 , at the Itaipu Technological Park (PTI).

For the seventh consecutive year, Foz do Iguaçu will be the capital of open source software and will show the public novelties in technology, new programs launched on the market, world trends in open source and practical applications of open source and cooperative systems.

Promoted by Itaipu Bi-National, PTI, State of Paraná Data Processing Company (Celepar) and the Federal Data Processing Service (Serpro), Latinoware, repeating the previous editions, will become the stage for international celebrities and representatives from public and private agencies from different countries of Latin America to present their solutions in Open Source Software.

The program will have lectures, round tables and workshops on themes linked to information and communication technologies, supported by open source software systems developed in the continent. Participants will have access to the main debates and reflections on the promotion and deployment of Open Source Software in Latin America, in addition to promoting the integration and valuing of Latin America.
