VII Conferência Latino Americana
de 10 a 12 de novembro de 2010 - Foz do Iguaçu | PR | Brasil
During the three days of the event, Latinoware 2010 will bring together close to 3 thousand participants, among users, researchers, professionals, professors and members of the academia that use or develop systems based on open source technology.
In order to address this audience, the event will be held in a new venue, in the premises of Itaipu Technological Park (PTI). This is the space that, in the 80's, was used as canteen for the workers who built the Itaipu Power Plant.
So, like the current PTI facilities, that used to serve as lodgings for the construction workers, the old restaurant will be renovated. The inauguration of this space, part of the expansion of the Park, will take place for the Latinoware 2010.
Altogether, there are 1650 m², split between the space for exhibition, with close to 900 m², four lecture rooms, each one with capacity for 100 people, and syndicate rooms. In addition, the spaces of the Itaipu Training Center, comprising the Cine-theater of the Dam Builders, one auditorium for 120 people and four computer laboratories, where the mini-courses will be given, will also be used.
