Latinoware 2010 is publicized during Fisl 11

The Latin-American Open Source Software Conference (Latinoware 2010) is being publicized at the 11th International Open Source Software Forum (Fisl 11). Representatives of Itaipu Bi-National and the Itaipu Technological Park (PTI), who are heading the organization of the event, are in Porto Alegre participating of Fisl. In addition to the contact with lecturers and representatives of communities and user groups, promotional material of Latinoware 2010 ia also being distributed at the Celepar stand.

Officially opened on Wednesady (21), Fisl is being held at the PUC Event Center and features lectures, debates and novelties of the open source code software world. The event, which ends on Saturday, counts with the presence of important names in the open source software in the world, such as Google's systems administrator in Switzerland, Michael Hanselmann.

During the opening ceremony, with participation by several authorities, the general-coordinator of Associação Software Livre.Org, Virgínia Ferreira, highlighted the growth of open source software in recent years. "We hope everyone finds the opportunities which they are looking for and that, on leaving here, they take with them learning and knowledge to share with society."

The president of SERPRO, and also Coordinator of the Committee for Open Source Implementation in the Federal Government, Marcus Mazoni, highlighted the evolution of Fisl in these 11 years, reminding us that "there are people who think differently, in collaboration".

Latinoware 2010
Promovida pela Itaipu Bi-National, PTI, Celepar e Serpro, a Latinoware 2010 será realizada entre os dias 10 e 12 de novembro, no PTI, em Foz do Iguaçu. Like in the previous editions , Latinoware should again break the attendance record have , and more serve as stage for international celebrities and representatives of public and private agencies from many Latin American countries to present their solutions in Open Source Software.

To this end, the program for Latinoware 2010will include lectures, round tables and workshops on themes linked to information and communication technologies, backed by the open source software systems developed in the continent and addressing the main trends on the digital market.

There will be about 100 lectures, with themes focusing on: Social Networks; Agile Development; Business Models; Accessibility and Mobility; and Cloud Computing. This matrix will enable crossing over between specific topics, such as: programming languages and frameworks; desktop environments; geo-processing; computer graphics and games; Linux distributions; and Virtualization.

In addition, Latinoware carries on with its focus on promoting technological integration among the countries of Latin America, striving to bring in several success cases that can be replicated in other countries.
