The Andes, Charco (Mato Grosso’s Pantanal region), Amazon Forest and Foz do Iguaçu are the topics that have been chosen for the Ecological Games Contest in Free Software, which will be promoted during Latinoware 2009.

The main objective of the contest is to increase the collection of games developed in Free Software. These games will be presented and shared between all the Latinoware participants.
 
To participate in the contest, interested parties must send their papers to e-mail: jogoecologico@latinoware.org. All of the papers submitted will be evaluated by a Committee, which will select the ten best games to be presented during Latinoware and published in the contest annals. The three best papers will also be awarded.
 
If the game development language used is LUA, which is currently one of the most used worldwide with this proposal, there will be a 10% increase in the final grading.
