Close to 7500 people participated in the 11º International Open Source Software Forum (Fisl 11), held in Porto Alegre. Over 500 activities and 250 exhibitors, made of this event one of the main world centers of discussion and expansion of Open Source software.
In the closing ceremony, the ambassador of the Open Source Software Association, Sady Jacques, stressed the new cycle started with the Fisl 11. "After a decade of this event, we have started a new phase, more mature. We hope to further develop our work with increased quality in the next editions and, to this end, we are counting on all of you".
During the Fisl, representatives of Itaipu and Itaipu Technological Park (PTI) publicized Latinoware 2010. At the Celepar stand, promotional material about the event was distributed. And, on Friday and Saturday, Latinoware t-shirts and registration vouchers were raffled out.
Maurício Oliveira, Nelmar Gomes, João Paulo Pizani, Wolmir Nemitz, Ivan Friess, Célia Baldessar, Rafael Nunes, Humberto Fraga, Nilton Martins, Zeli Jorge and Rita Gomes were the lucky winners of the registration for Latinoware 2010. In addition to them, another 11 people won prizes and received the official event t-shirt.
Promoted by Itaipu, PTI, Celepar and Serpro, Latinoware 2010 will take place between November 10 and 12, at the premises of the PTI, in Foz do Iguaçu.
