Ana Cristina Geyer de Moraes

David Emmerich Jourdain
Acts as consultant in Free Software. He has participated in a number of projects since 1998 and has all his training in computer sciences. He is a founding member of the TDF (The Document Foundation), organization responsible for maintenance and continuity of the office suite LibreOffice and member of the German, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian-speaking communities of LibreOffice, as well as the global lists (in English) of TDF. He was responsible for a research project that gave rise to Famelix, a Linux with an interface very close to proprietary environments to facilitate the migration process for users accustomed to these environments, now known as BRLix (www.brlix.com). Since 2007, develops customized versions of Linux for hardware manufacturers and integrators wanting to adapt to the federal government programs such as the "Computers for Everyone".
Dries Buytaert
Dries Buytaert is the original creator and project lead for the Drupal open source web publishing and collaboration platform. Buytaert serves as president of the Drupal Association, a non-profit organization formed to help Drupal flourish. He is also co-founder and chief technology officer of Acquia, a venture-backed software company that offers products and services for Drupal. Dries is also a co-founder of Mollom, a web service that helps you identify content quality and, more importantly, helps you stop website spam.
A native of Belgium, Buytaert holds a PhD in computer science and engineering from Ghent University and a Licentiate Computer Science (MsC) from the University of Antwerp. In 2008, Buytaert was elected Young Entrepreneurs of Tech by BusinessWeek as well as MIT TR 35 Young Innovator.
Drica Veloso

Specialist in Interactive Design for PUC/Minas, her educational background is in Social Communication with training in Journalism from the University Center in Belo Horizonte. She is the cofounder of the Metarecycling (Metareciclagem) network and of Free Studio (Estúdio Livre), as well as being a consultant for Descentro during 2006. She has used free software since 2001 and edited the documentary for Teia 2008 using Cinelerra.

Er Galvão Abbott

He has worked for more than 15 with interface web application development, 9 of those years dedicated to PHP language. He specialized in web application security at a time when it was a little-explored topic, and is still an advocate for good security practices and techniques. He writes articles, gives talks at events, and is the director of the PHP Conference Brazil, the main PHP event in Latin America.

Fernando Ultremare (@feroult) has worked mainly as a project manager for the past five years, accumulating more than 70 thousand hours on projects conducted using agile methodologies. Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, with a graduate degree in Corporate Applications using Object Orientation and Java Technology through the Federal Technological University of Paraná. He has worked as a programmer in private informatics companies, and for the Bank of Brazil, where he eventually became an analyst for the international directorship. He is currently a technological consultant for Strategic Coordination of Technology for the Federal Data Processing Service (Serpro). He was a graduate professor for UNICID and is an instructor for technical courses at Tempo Real Eventos. He was a member of the official translation team of the Zend Framework and the author of three books about the topic. He is an official contributor to the Tine 2.0 project, a free PHP communication suite. Frederico Gonçalves Guimarães
Educated as a biologist, he worked as a Science and Biology professor in state and town public schools. He also worked for Prodabel, a public informatics company in the town Belo Horizonte, in the installation, planning, and user support for the use of free software by the Prefecture. He is currently the pedagogical coordinator of a public town school and a member of the Planning Management for the implementation of free software in the municipal network of education and the training of professors in the use of this software. He translates some of the software, among them: GCompris, TuxPaint, Claws Mail and Friendika. He coordinates the group Free Educational Software (http://sleducacional.org), which distributes, documents, translates, and discusses the educational use of free software.

João Sebastião de Oliveira Bueno

João Sebastião de Oliveira Bueno has worked with free software since 1997. He is active in the Brazilian Python community, working on several projects related to pages and the development of systems with this language.
He is one of the developers of GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program), and currently carries out the translation of the programs into Brazilian Portuguese. He wrote a column from 2006-2007 about GIMP in the magazine EasyLinux.

Jon Anderson Hall
Jon \"Maddog\" Hall is the Executive of Linux International. His nickname was given to him by his students at Hartford State Technical College, where he was the head of the Computer Science department. Hall himself says that the nickname "comes from a time when I had less control over my temper".Jon has worked in informatics since 1969. He has worked for Western Electric Corporation, Aetna Life and Casualty, Bell Laboratories, Digital Equipment Corporation, VA Linux Systems, and SGI. Currently, he is the CTO and ambassador for Koolu.
It was during his time with Digital that he initially became interested in Linux, and was instrumental in obtaining equipment and resources for Linus Tovalds to accomplish his first port, to Digital's Alpha platform. Jon Hall is also on the boards of several companies and NGO's, including the USENIX Association. He is a well-recognized figure in the programming community, and a respected figure in the free software movement.
At the UK Linux and Open Source Awards 2006, he was honored with the Lifetime Recognition Award for his services to the open source community. Hall holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1977) and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Engineering from Drexel University (1973). Maddog is an exceptional speaker who reaches his listeners using his own personal charisma, analogies, and examples that thrill the public.

An aspiring Brazilian Navy Official, Jota Júnior is a young free software enthusiast. He won third place at national level for the IV Hostnet Algorithm Olympics, and a silver medal in the XIII Brazilian Astronomy and Astronautics Olympics. Luciano Lourenço da Silva

raphic Artist, associated with the APBA (Associação Paulista de Belas Artes) since 1989, where I studied illustration, artistic design, and later design, until 2000. In 2003 I became interested in free software, starting to use Linux and all free software alternatives for graphic creation. At the same time I was contracted by a graphic company as a designer, where I had the opportunity to learn about proprietary alternatives like Corel, Illustrator and Photoshop. I was able to gain a different point of view, and carry a more ample vision into my work through free software. I could make a more honest comparison between all software options, not as free or proprietary, but rather as working tools.
In 2008 I started to collaborate with the distribution of Kurumin Linux, where I created the mascot and began to maintain the graphic interface and appearance of Kurumin until the latest version (7.0), maintained by its creator, Carlos Eduardo Morimoto. passionate for design and principally Vector and Vexel Art, I developed my best work using the vectorial image creation tools. With Inkscape, as well as having completely studied its history and witnessing its development since its earliest versions, I developed work for sites that are referenced around the world. Today I make up part of the Inkscape Brazil and Ogimp free code communities. I am a graphic designer for Hardware.com.br and other companies where I offer graphic design and web services, where I work with free tools on their development.

Luis Falcón holds a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the California State University at Northridge. He currently lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he studies Medicine at the H.A. I was born in San Salvador de Jujuy, and I moved to Buenos Aires hoping to study in the university. However, my future was in teaching. I am a teacher. At a point in my life, I was in touch with the art world. I studied painting, singing, and theater. A little more than ten years ago, I got my first computer and discovered a different world. Ricardo Coelho graduated in Computer Science, and is a founder of PHP-Maranhão, representing Maranhão in diverse events in Brazil and in the group PHP Brazil Communities. Rasmus Lerdorf is known for having gotten the PHP project off the ground in 1995 and has contributed to a number of other open source projects over the years. He was an infrastructure architect at Yahoo! for more than 7 years before leaving in 2009 to focus on helping startups. Sandro Andrade is a professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of the Bahia (IFBA), and a doctoral candidate in Computer Science at DMCC. He holds a Master's degree in Mechatronics (2006) and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (DCC-UFBA) (1999). Vinício Zanchettin
Student of Computer Engineering, has worked in the area of Information Technology since 2001, working and looking for free server, rack and data center management tools, based entirely on Linux. Currently he is working on a tool known as ZABBIX that, with other equipment, enables monitoring of the electrical current, temperature and moisture of servers and networks.
Willian Okuhara Caprino
Willian Okuhara Caprino is an Information Security Consultant. He has an MBA in Project Management from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation. He is a member of the Latin American Advisory Board of the ISC2. He was the president of the Brazilian chapter of ISSA - Information System Security Association. He was the co-founder of STS Productions, the company responsible for the Information Security for the events: You sh0t the Sheriff, Sheriff Night, Silver Bullet, as well as the podcast I Sh0t the Sheriff and the videocast Security Lounge. He is one of the founders of the NGO Hackers Building the Future (HCFBR - Hackers Construindo Futuros).
